Five years after creating the brand for their primary competitor, I had the opportunity to help Bill.com introduce its latest product offering to a sophisticated and change-averse banking audience. The objective was to invite banks to strengthen their customer relationships by giving them increased visibility to the full lifecycle of an invoice. In essence, they would need to replace their existing bill-pay systems with Bill.com’s payment platform, and trust Bill.com with their most valuable assets—their customers. To help achieve that kind of trust, the message and visual execution was carefully crafted to exude confidence and simplicity.
